Switzerland has attractive tax system

According to a study by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the World Bank, Switzerland belongs to those countries with the most attractive tax systems. Compared to 178 countries throughout the world, Switzerland ranks 15th and within Europe, fourth.

The study focuses on three tax relevant aspects: the total tax rate, the time to comply and the number of tax payments per year. With a total tax rate of 29.1 percent of commercial profits, Switzerland ranks 24th worldwide and 2nd within Europe regarding total tax rates. The top three tax systems in the world are found in the Maldives, Singapore, and Hong Kong respectively. Ireland, U.K. and Denmark are considered to have the most attractive tax systems in Europe.
